As I was walking down the street this morning, as I do each morning - at the same time - along the same route - which takes me past the Primary School, I witnessed an amusing thing. This morning there was a police car parked on the side of the street at the corner boundary of the Primary School. There was no mistaking it was a police car; bright iridescent yellow, blue and white check stripes up the side and across the back, uniformed officer sitting behind the steering wheel...and if none of that gave it away, the word POLICE was positioned across the back in large bold lettering and there were the blue and red lights on the top. Yep, it was definitely a police car!
Now that wasn't the amusing thing, and he could have been there dropping his own kids off to school before going to work. What was amusing about him being there was the traffic slowing to a below 40km school zone pace, when usually they drive in ignorance of this speed limitation. Parents who normally 'pause' their car long enough to let their children out to cross this busy street unaided, actually got out of their cars this morning and held hands and walked children across the road. Drivers handling steering wheels one-handed whilst using their mobile phones with the other, this morning seemed suddenly uncaring as to whether Aunt Fudd wanted to talk at that very moment or not.
It's amazing how our attitudes, actions, and attention changes when we know someone is watching! Especially someone with the authority to fine us or even lock us up, depending on how rebellious our everyday behaviour might be.
In this day of modern technology, more than ever before, Big Brother is watching, and not always as obviously as this policeman was this morning. It's not hard to imagine 'he' sees more than we're even aware of. I thinks it's so common-place now that we even disregard the knowledge of that and go along doing our own thing anyway. And the world even encourages and welcome liberal, free thinking. But if we thought about it more - the fact that 'we are being watched', perhaps we wouldn't drive those 10-15kms over the limit, or we wouldn't download that song by that artist we just love, or we wouldn't eat that 'small' bunch of grapes while pushing a trolley around a supermarket, or drink that bottle of water before we get to the checkout.
The thing to remember is that while, in the world, we may think we are getting away with something, or even think that by world standards that 'thing' borders closely on being okay, so it doesn't matter, we are not fooling God. God does not judge by world standards! "He is a God Who considers hatred to be murder - and lust to be adultery." (paraphrased quote from the movie "Fireproof") The world might not always see what we do, and certainly if we can keep our mouth shut about it, the world has no idea what we are thinking, who we're hating, or lusting after, or bitter and angry toward....but God knows, God sees, God hears, God is aware of it all!
What would happen if we all decided to live our lives AWARE that God is watching. He is, you know. How much more pleasant would it be? How much happier would those around us be? How much more joyful would your own lives be? I've touched on this topic before, but it's worth being reiterated....often.
Think about it....

Background
This is the trial of Jeremiah Auckland at Eternal Supreme Court (ESC). He was born on 1st January 1941. He was a Presiding Bishop of a mega Church – The Church of Christ in Greentown; was married
with children. He died in a road traffic accident on 2nd February 2001 at the age of 60years.
The Trial
Jeremiah Auckland had gone through the verification formalities at the reception desk of ESC. His case was then fast tracked and he walked through the massive door from the waiting lounge into the Courtroom. As he entered, he walked straight into the dock in front of the ESC Clerk’s desk and the Most High Judge Theo’s desk.
The ESC Clerk asked him to confirm his details again. He asked him, “Can you please confirm your name is Jeremiah Auckland?
Jeremiah answered, “Yes that is my name.” The ESC Clerk asked further, “Can you confirm that your Date of Birth (DOB) is 1st January 1941?”
Jeremiah replied, “Yes that is my DOB.” The ESC Clerk stated I can confirm that you died and left earth on Friday 2nd February 2001. The ESC Clerk entered these details into the touch screen monitor
on his desk and instantly Jutube displayed all these details and said, “Jeremiah Auckland, you spent a total of exactly 21,948 days (60 years, 1 month, 2 days) on earth.”
The ESC Clerk then turned towards the Prosecutor’s table and said to D S Lucifer, over to you for your arguments.
D S Lucifer stood up and took a bow before the Most High Judge Theo’s desk; turning towards Jeremiah, he smiled and said, “Your Most High, before this Court is a man that I strongly believe
should go to hell” “It is written, “For all people are mine to judge—both parents and children alike. And this is my rule: The person who sins is the one who will die.” Ezekiel 18:4 (NLT) “It is my intention to prove to this Court that Jeremiah although died as a Presiding Bishop of a Church; he was constantly living contrary to the commandments of the Scriptures.”
“For the record, you will recollect that it was agreed by all parties involved in setting up this Court, that the Scriptures will form the entire basis for the proceedings in this Court.” “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing,whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” Ecclesiastes 12:13 – 14 (KJV)
D S Lucifer continued, “I believe Jeremiah lived a very sinful life on earth and as a result deserves to be sentenced to eternal damnation in Hell.” “I intend to prove from evidence on the Jutube that Jeremiah Auckland’s final destination is with others like him in Hell.”
Jeremiah was very bewildered; he couldn’t believe nor understand what he was hearing. D S Lucifer said further, “I recollect that Jeremiah Auckland was selfish and lived a life of sexual
immorality.” “I recollect that even after Jeremiah became a Christian, he was still involved in sexual immoral practices.” “Can I have the video clip recorded for Thursday 29th April 1976, please?”
All eyes turned to Jutube and behold, a video clip was shown revealing Jeremiah Auckland talking to a lady to meet him at a rendezvous.
Jeremiah could only stare unbelievably at what was been shown on Jutube. He looked very embarrassed, but more revelations were yet to come. D S Lucifer continued his arguments, “Even after it seemed Jeremiah took Christianity serious and he was made a leader in the Church, he was busy chasing female members in the Church.” “Can I have the video clip recorded for Sunday 7th May 1978, Sunday
6th August 1978 and Sunday 25th February 1979, please?”
Immediately, Jutube showed the requested video clips in succession. It reveals Jeremiah Auckland discussing with different female members of the Church immediately after the service and somewhat
proposing a sexual relationship to them.
This time Jeremiah covered his face with shame. He just couldn’t believe what he was seeing and hearing.D S Lucifer continued his prosecution. He said, “Jeremiah Auckland did not change his behaviour

in a sexual activity with a member of his youth group.”
As the video clip was shown on Jutube, Jeremiah started sobbing.
“If we move a bit further into the life of Jeremiah Auckland” D S Lucifer continued, “After he got married and became a full time Pastor, Jeremiah was still engaging in sexual immorality.” “There
are numerous video clips of him committing adultery with both female members of the Church,prostitutes and accessing pornographic websites.” “For the record, can I have these four video clips
please – Sunday 1st March 1987, Friday 26th August 1988, Monday 5th September 1994 and Saturday 29th July 1995?”
Jutube showed the four video clips. They all revealed Jeremiah Auckland involved in a sexual act with different women. One showed him hugging a member of his Church and arranging to meet her after the service; the next shows him in a hotel room welcoming another female member into the room; the next two video clips revealed him typing into the internet address bar and accessing pornographic websites.
Jeremiah Auckland could not control himself any longer, he began to cry loudly and the ESC Clerk had to advise him to control himself and calm down; “Jeremiah Auckland please you need to calm down, it is very important we obtain the full facts of this case”
Jeremiah replied still crying, “Calm down, in the face of all these evidence!” “I don’t know what to do; I don’t want to go to hell.”
The ESC Clerk answered, “You need to calm down; you will have your turn to defend these allegations.” He turned to D S Lucifer and said, “You may continue please.”
D S Lucifer concluded his arguments by giving a summary. He said, “There are quite numerous video clips as evidence that points out that Jeremiah Auckland lived a life on earth that entitles him
to go to Hell.”
“I believe with the evidence shown on Jutube, I have proved this case beyond doubt that Jeremiah Auckland did not keep the law as required of him during his 21,948 days (60 years, 1 month, 2 days)
sojourn on earth.” “I therefore submit that he should be found guilty and sent to hell; as it is written,“For all people are mine to judge—both parents and children alike. And this is my rule: The person who sins is the one who will die.” Ezekiel 18:4 (NLT); “Your Most High Judge Theo, I rest my case, thank you.”
Then D S Lucifer bowed and took his seat. The ESC Clerk turned to Jeremiah Auckland, “These are serious evidence against you; how do you intend to defend yourself against these allegations.”
Jeremiah still sobbing answered, “I don’t know where to start; I was a Christian, in actual fact I was a Presiding Bishop of a congregation of over 10,000 members; I was involved in evangelistic

something like this; I don’t understand how I find myself in this situation and how I can ever defend myself.”
The ESC Clerk replied Jeremiah and said, “I indeed appreciate all you’ve said you did when you were on earth; nevertheless these do not have any impact on the determination of your case.” “Before
we can proceed, I will need to check the Book of Life database to confirm whether you signed up for the Advocate when you were on earth.” “If you signed up for the Advocate, He will come and
defend you; but if you did not sign up for the Advocate, you will have to defend yourself.”
Jeremiah Auckland nodded. D S Lucifer was smiling. The ESC Clerk entered some details in the touch screen monitor on his desk and a screen of the Book of Life database was revealed on the
Jutube. On the screen two information were required, Name and DOB; the ESC Clerk entered the details – Jeremiah Auckland, 1st January 1941 and clicked the search button. All eyes in the Courtroom
were on Jutube, the screen showed – searching the Book of Life database…….; and after about 15seconds,the result of the search was revealed on the screen and Jutube read it out: “Congratulations, Jeremiah Auckland’s details are in the Book of Life database; he went to earth on 1st January 1941, he left earth on Friday 2nd February 2001; he signed up for the Advocate by accepting Jesus Christ on Thursday 25th December 1975.” “He is worthy to be represented by the Advocate – J C Emmanuel, because he maintained the requirement of holiness, purity, love and a relationship with Jesus Christ.”
D S Lucifer was visibly upset at the result! Jeremiah Auckland couldn’t believe his eyes, he signed up for the Advocate; as he stopped sobbing, he kept muttering thank God, thank God, thank God!
